The Best Things To Do In Somerset

There’s plenty to do in Somerset, from iconic excursions to Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral, or the Roman Baths in Bath, to activities right on your doorstep at Lilycombe Farm.

On-site, enjoy the indoor pool, cinema, table tennis, table football, or book a relaxing massage. Outdoors, explore our 6-acre woodland or set off on scenic walks, some leading to pubs or even to Wells with stunning off-road views.

Somerset is also a foodie haven with excellent restaurants, but if you prefer dining in, we provide recommendations for local produce, private chefs, and hidden gems to discover nearby.

The Pool

The Swimming Pool can be booked for two private and exclusive sessions each day and at 15 metres long it is great for proper exercise, for playing or for children.

The Cinema

The Cinema has a big screen and surround sound all controlled by an iPad. You can download films and series from Netflix, iPlayer, Amazon, Apple or Disney, but bring your passwords so that you can access your accounts. You can also play DVD’s, so bring your favourites. The cinema is open to all guests during the day but in the evenings you can make exclusive private bookings.

Games

Next to the cinema is Table Tennis and Table Football, to help use up surplus energy. You can borrow croquet, boules, swingball and badminton for outside games.

Therapies

The Treatment Room is above the swimming pool and our therapy partners puravidatherapies can provide a range of massages and treatments. Check their website and make a booking in advance of your stay. It works best if you can book in a number of people in your party to spread the cost.
