Boating:
Boating: You can hire traditional punts and skiffs at Bath Boating Station on the River Avon, or electric boats and canal barges at Bath Narrowboats on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Bicycling :
Bicycling on the quiet lanes of the Somerset Levels is great, but there are also some long off road cycle tracks: Bath to Bradford on Avon on the Two Tunnels Greenway, Radstock to Mells along the Colliers Way, or The Strawberry Line, the old railway that took Cheddar Strawberries to the city. Bikes can be hired in Bath, Bradford, Glastonbury and elsewhere. Serious off-roaders should contact Bike The Mendips.
Riding:
Riding: There are several Riding Schools including Riding for the Disabled. About 10 minutes from Lilycombe Farm is Hay Street Farm Riding Club, with lessons for all abilities. For a hack across a wild landscape you could try Tynings Trekking Centre, which caters for beginners and experienced riders.
